It's a Team Effort!
Lake Stevens Fire and Safe Kids joined efforts to run a
booth at National Night Out. Parents and children were able to
test their knowledge on injury prevention and won a variety of
goodies for answering questions correctly. National Night Out
is a national event that occurs the first Tuesday of August
annually.

Donating Stuffed Animals
Bikers from the Puget Sound Chapter collected teddy bears
and stuffed animals to be given away to children at National
Night Out.

Fire Prevention Specialist Robert Marshall quizzes
youngsters about the importance of water safety.

LSPD Shares Carseat Information
Did you know children who have outgrown car seats must be
restrained in a booster seat until they reach the age of 12 or
until they are 4 feet 9 inches tall? |

Fire Department vs. Police Department Relay
Firefighter Josh Duncan shows Police Chief Celori how to put
on the fire gear before the big relay begins.

On your mark, get set, GO!
Fire Chief Faucett and Police Chief Celori race to see who
can put on the opposing department's gear faster.

Way to go!
The relay was a close finish with Chief Celori taking the
lead. However, by an overwhelming applause, the Fire Department
took home the prize. What good sports these two are!

A mariachi band provided music for attendees at National
Night Out.

National Night Out provided some great entertainment,
including these young dancers who gave performances in a wide

Everyone was sure to fill up with an all you can eat breakfast
of pancakes, eggs and ham. A
huge thank you to Getchell Fire who worked with Lake
Stevens Fire to help make the breakfast a success. |

What a Great Turn Out!
Rain or shine, we had long lines of people! This year we
served over 1500 people throughout the weekend.

Thank You for Your Support!
The bay of Station 81 was full of people all morning on both
Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to everyone who came! We
appreciate your support.

Ready to Serve
Lake Stevens Fire staffed the first aid booth on Main Street
and provided service to those attending Aquafest throughout the
weekend.

Pancakes & Parades!
It was a weekend of pancakes and parades! Lake Stevens Fire
participated in the both the Children's Parade Friday evening
and the Grand Parade on Saturday afternoon. |

Health & Safety Fair
This year's Health & Safety Fair was a joint effort between Lake Stevens
Fire, Lake Stevens Police, and the City of Lake Stevens. Additional
participants this year included SafeKids, Snohomish Health District, Lake
Stevens Family Center, Fantastic Flutterbyes, Snohomish Mounted Patrol, Woodbury
Chiropractic, Summit Rehabilitation, and the Cub Scouts. We hope to make this
an annual event that just gets better and better!

The Importance of CPR
PM Dillon demonstrates and explains the life
saving capabilities of CPR to a family at the Health and Safety Fair.

Wow! Seventeen car seats were checked and four
car seats were given away to families in need!
